It's been a while since I've gotten pissed off about something. I know, I know, back in the day it was awesome to read about Ryan Seacrest's first attempt at hosting the Oscars, and how pissed I would get for Animal Planet totally making me cry over stupid Wombats. But it's hard to stay pissed when you're living with your hot girlfriend in a totally stellar place, kicking ass in your career and have surrounded yourself with awesome. So my newsletters really haven't been entertaining in the way they've been in the past, though still informative as to the best places to shake your ass and still better than Wolfie's.However, today when I read a story about a Louisiana-based high school principal not allowing a 17 year old female student attend her prom (HER PROM!) because she wanted her date to be another female, I got pissed, and am harnessing the Internet to unleash my thousands of loyal awesomers onto the Louisiana School District.
Is it 19fucking55? Did I just travel back in time to draconian pre-love-era America? Because if I did, somebody better get me George McFly on the goddamn phone right now to come to the soda hole and get a malt smoothie with me.

I would LOVE it if you took a minute and wrote to the Executive Office of the Superintendent Ollie Tyler @ customerservice@la.gov and CC'd the barbarian principal of Loranger High School Billie Theriot, billie.theriot@tangischools.org. Please let the superintendent know what you think about this action at their prom last week. Even if it's a quick little email that says "Oh, btw, you guys are complete morons for banning that girl from the prom. I hope the ACLU eats you alive. Love and kisses, ________."
Because seriously, who doesn't want to see two girls making out? Hello? It's like the American Dream and this is effin' America. And come ON, riots over a girl bringing a girl to a CHAPERONED SCHOOL DANCE? What happened to "land of the free and home of the brave?" We've turned into a bunch of tight-wad pussies shielding our children from the concept of a 'free country' and are headed toward socialism closer every day.
